Mumbai, September 24: Mumbai, September 24: TVS Motor Company has launched an affordable variant of the Raider 125 motorcycle in India. Priced at INR 84,869 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the bike has a drum brake at both ends. It is about INR 10,000 more affordable than before. The new TVS Raider 125 drum variant sits under the single-disc trim in the lineup. The Chennai-headquartered two-wheeler maker offers the Raider 125 Drum in colour options – Striking Red and Wicked Black.
It’s worth noting that the TVS Raider 125 is one of the popular offerings in the commuter segment for various reasons, such as practicality, frugality and affordability. TVS Raider 125 Drum gets the same design, and in fact, the overall appearance goes with other variants of the range. However, hardware is the only section that differs from other trims. It has an LED headlamp, LCD panel and two riding modes – Eco and Power. The mechanical front of the Raider 125 Drum remains untouched. It gets the same 124.8cc, air-cooled engine, that comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The unit makes 11.2 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. As it is a base model, TVS offers the drum variant with a single-piece seat. The bike competes with the Hero Xtreme 125R and the Honda SP 125 in the Indian market.
