Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth are all set to take the next step in their relationship, with the couple planning to get married later this year in India. Recently, in an interview, Aditi opened up about the sweet way Siddharth proposed to her at a school founded by her grandmother. Although she also discussed some of her wedding plans, the actress refrained from sharing many details.

During a conversation with Vogue India, Aditi revealed that Siddharth had a running joke throughout the year. He would go down on one knee to check Aditi’s reaction but then fiddle with his shoelace. Later, the actress recalled the day Siddharth actually proposed to her.
She said, “I was closest to my nani, who passed away a few years ago. She started a school in Hyderabad. One day, Siddharth asked me if he could see it, knowing full well how close I had been to her.”
Siddharth took Aditi to the school in March this year. The couple visited the exact location where she spent time as a child. “He got down on one knee, and I asked him, ‘Now what have you lost? Whose shoelaces are untied?’ He kept saying, ‘Addu, listen to me.’ And then he proposed. He said he wanted to bring me to my favourite childhood place, one with my grandmother’s blessings,” she explained.
“He walked in and said, ‘Hello, beautiful girl.’ Usually, when someone says something like this, it does not work. But he was being genuine. By the end of the day, he had me and pretty much everyone on the set in splits. He also ensured that my team and I had ghee idlis whipped up by his cook every day for the rest of the shoot.”
When Are Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari Getting Married?
Aditi shared, “The wedding will be centred around a 400-year-old temple in Wanaparthy that is of significance to my family.” Siddharth and Aditi got engaged at the Srirangapuram temple near Wanaparthy.
