LOCALS at a Scots harbour were gobsmacked to see a £288m megayacht dock at the weekend.
The 400-foot-long ‘Kismet’ arrived in Troon on Saturday as part of its maiden voyage after being constructed at German shipyard Lurssen.

The vessel belongs to Fulham FC’s billionaire owner Shahid Khan.
Khan is also principal owner of NFL team Jacksonville Jaguars.
Kismet was spotted by local and keen kayaker Mark McInnes.
He told the Daily Record: “I’m from Troon, a short walk along the road to the beach to launch the kayaks.
“Myself and my girlfriend Dawn decided to paddle out to the harbour on Saturday morning to get a closer look at the yacht.
“Not every day these are in Troon and it was such a lovely sunny calm morning on the water.
“It was amazing to see it up close, so new and clean. There was even a man abseiling off the side of it to clean the windows.
“We would have loved to get an invite on board but that didn’t happen, so we will just have to imagine what it looks like inside.”
It has a very grand interior, fitted out with a grand spiral staircase, floor-to-ceiling TV screens, and surfaces of marble and gold.
The luxury vessel can host up to 12 guests in six bedrooms, while on-board facilities include a dedicated spa, a gym, and a cinema.
There’s also a night club, beauty salon, and a basketball court.
Those wanting to make the most of the outdoor space can enjoy the jacuzzi, swimming pool, and a one-of-a-kind retractable outdoor fireplace.
The superyacht has previously hosted a number of A-List guests, including Beyonce and Jay-Z, who were spotted touring the Amalfi Coast in 2018.
Featuring interior styling by British designer Reymond Langton Design, Kismet can host up to 12 guests in 8 cabins.
Owner Khan, 73, is a businessman who moved to the US from Pakistan at 16 to study industrial engineering at the University of Illinois.
He made his fortune after working for and then buying Illinois construction firm Flex-n-Gate.
In 2021 Khan’s personal net worth was £6.45 billion and he ranked 94th in the Forbes 400 list of richest Americans – the 291th richest person in the world
