‘Absolutely disgusting’, cry furious NC500 locals after woman spotted committing foul act

RAGING locals blasted an “absolutely disgusting” visitor to a remote beauty spot, accusing them of committing a disgusting act on a main road next to a residential area.

The caught-short female visitor was spotted by a resident “emptying her bowels behind a cairn stone” near the village of Durness which is part of the North Coast 500 route.

An unhappy punter revealed on the Durness Facebook page that they had looked out their window to witness foul find firsthand as the manky tourist threw toilet paper “over the base of the tree.”

The location of the dump was even a short distance from at least two public toilets in the village.

One source later told the Scottish Sun: “Honestly, you can’t make it up!

“It’s on a main road in a residential area.

“If someone was caught short or ill then you’d still have tried to go over into a field or something I’m sure.

“Not right by the road in plain sight!”

The route has exploded in popularity but people who live along the route say they’re fed up with the actions they see every day.

Angry residents responded to the Facebook post.

One said: “There’s toilets in Durness what a low life, disgusting.”

Another commented: “That’s horrible, especially when there’s two public toilets close by.”

A third wrote: “Hope she gets a tick on her nether regions!”

A fourth added: “Some people are so revolting, it just beggars belief.”

This comes after angry locals hit out at “feral” and “vile” car campers for ruining a remote beauty spot with more piles of excrement.

And the furious NC500 locals branded the area the “Wild West” after “feral” campers destroyed a beauty spot on the route.

Visitors camping out for the night on a grassy field in the village of Drumbeg, in Assynt, Sutherland left a huge mess in their wake a few weeks ago.

We also told of how residents living along the NC500 have called for local councils to enforce stricter overnight parking rules on motorhomes.

Locals have hit out at “disrespectful” motorhome owners who have been caught parking their vehicles in graveyards, in front of people’s homes, blocking them in, and pulling up overnight in shop car parks.

As a result, they have called on the Highland Council to impose similar overnight motorhome parking restrictions that are being introduced down south.
