On Karva Chauth, Abhishek Bachchan used to keep fast every year for wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Fans are wondering if they will observe the festival this year amid divorce speculations.
Karva Chauth is one of the traditional Indian festivals observed by married couples as a gesture of love and devotion. It’s a special day that strengthens the bond between partners and reinforces their faith in their culture and traditions. On this occasion, married women across the country observe a nirjala fast (without food and water) for the long life of their husbands. In recent years, many men have also begun fasting for their wives, showcasing mutual respect and love. One such celebrity is Abhishek Bachchan, who has openly shared that he observes the Karva Chauth fast for his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In a tweet, Abhishek confirmed this practice and encouraged other husbands to join in, making the tradition more inclusive and modern.
In 2018, Abhishek took to Twitter to share a message for all husbands on Karva Chauth and tweeted, “#KarvaChauth, good luck ladies…. And the dutiful husbands who should also be fasting with their wives! I do.” You will agree with us when we say that the award for the ideal husband goes to him. In an interview earlier, Abhishek had said, “I don’t believe in it (Karva Chauth), but if my wife is doing something for my health, then it is my duty to be with her. That’s why I will be flying to be with my wife.”

The two have been dedicated to following the ritual of fasting for each other. In 2013, when Abhishek was out of India for some professional commitments and Aishwarya kept Karva Chauth fast and followed the traditions through Skype with father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan. Big B had then tweeted, “Abhishek out of the country on shoot .. so face of husband seen through Skype, for Karvachauth by Aishwarya .. what times we live in!!” And Abhishek wrote, “My 1st Karwa Chawth away from the Mrs. Thank god for Facetime!.”

Well, fans of Abhishek and Aishwarya are curious to know whether they will observe Karva Chauth fast this year amid divorce speculations. One of the users wrote, “Abhi and Aish look good together. We would want them to grow as couple and fast this year too, because love never dies”. Another user wrote, “Don’t know if they will celebrate karva chauth this year or not as there are reportedly separated and are in the phase of divorce”.
Well, there is no confirmation about their divorce and separation. Abhishek and Aishwarya tied the knot in a grand ceremony in 2007 and welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in 2011.
