Cristiano Ronaldo does not seem to be slowing down even at the age of 39. Ronaldo, who is currently plying his trade for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, became the first player earlier this year to score 900 goals in competitive matches. From winning the Ballon d’Or five times to claiming multiple accolades at both the club and international stage, Ronaldo has shattered innumerable records to establish himself as one of the greatest players of this generation. Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen recently talked about one possible target that Ronaldo would probably love to achieve. When asked if Ronaldo would want to become a team-mate of his son Cristiano Jr, Meulensteen, speaking in association with Instant Casino, told GOAL, “100 per cent. He would love that. Maybe that might be extra motivation for him to keep going and waiting for that time to come.”

“I said it years and years ago, Ronaldo will never leave as a candle that slowly burns down. If he feels that he can still make a massive contribution in the way he keeps going and playing, scoring goals. But there is a cut-off point for everybody, where the game runs away from you. That can sometimes happen whether you want it or not. I’m sure he has got plenty of motivation in him. He’s a fit boy, he looks after himself so well, and I bet he would love to play alongside his son,” Rene Meulensteen added.

Cristiano Ronaldo was recently seen posing bare-chested in the snow before taking a dip in a pool during Christmas vacation in Finland’s Lapland region. The Portuguese legend traveled with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and his children. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid talisman even wished his followers a “Merry Christmas” in Spanish.

Cristiano Ronaldo is on a winter break from the Saudi Pro League until January 9. Al-Nassr now claim the fourth spot in the Saudi Pro League standings with 25 points from 13 games. They are now 11 points behind table-toppers Al-Ittihad. In their last outing, Al-Nassr conceded a 2-1 loss at the hands of Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal in that fixture but it was not enough to seal a point against Al-Ittihad.
