New Delhi, India – Kia India has launched the highly anticipated Syros SUV, a model poised to redefine the market with its bold design, advanced technology, and robust safety features. Built on the reinforced K1 platform, the Syros caters to both urban drivers and adventure enthusiasts, seamlessly blending versatility and cutting-edge innovation.
The Syros boasts several segment-first features, including sliding, reclining, and ventilated rear seats, along with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. It also incorporates Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), encompassing 16 autonomous safety features and a comprehensive 20-item standard safety package.
The exterior embodies Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, merging bold aesthetics with practical functionality. Its aggressive yet refined design is accentuated by signature Starmap LED lighting and a prominent Kia Signature Digital Tiger Face, ensuring a distinctive road presence. Additional exterior highlights include R17 (43.66 cm) Crystal Cut alloy wheels, streamlined door handles, Kia logo puddle lamps, and sculpted body lines.
The Syros offers a spacious and thoughtfully designed interior. A 2,550mm wheelbase provides ample cabin space, featuring segment-first sliding and reclining rear seats, along with 60:40 split-folding seats for flexible cargo space. Further enhancing the interior are front and rear ventilated seats, a 76.2cm (30”) Trinity Panoramic Display panel, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, creating a luxurious and practical environment. Other interior features include sporty alloy pedals, a Double D-Cut steering wheel, a 4-way powered driver’s seat, and customizable 64-color ambient mood lighting.

The 76.2cm (30”) Trinity Panoramic Display panel serves as the central hub for the Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, seamlessly integrating Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Syros also introduces Kia’s first Over-the-Air (OTA) software update capability. An 8-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound System, a wireless smartphone charger, and call center-assisted navigation further enhance the driving experience.
Safety is paramount in the Syros:
It features 16 autonomous safety features, including Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, a 360-degree camera with Blind View Monitor, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go. These are complemented by a 20-item safety package, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, and Vehicle Stability Management. Kia Connect 2.0 adds further safety features, such as SOS emergency support, real-time diagnostics, and stolen vehicle tracking.
The Syros offers two engine options:
A 1.0-liter turbocharged Smartstream GDI petrol engine (120PS and 172Nm of torque) and a 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine (116PS and 250Nm of torque). Both engines are available with manual and automatic transmissions. A longer 2550mm wheelbase and refined suspension contribute to a smooth and comfortable ride. The Kia Syros will be offered in a range of trims to cater to diverse customer preferences.
