‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ set to SHATTER box office records; Allu Arjun starrer eyes historic Rs 300 crore opening day collections |

Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s highly anticipated sequel ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, is just days away from its big global release on December 5 and it looks like it is already on a record-breaking spree.
Early projections suggest the film could become the first Indian movie to surpass the Rs 300 crore gross mark on its opening day at the worldwide box office. A report on sacnilk.com estimates an opening day gross collection of Rs 233 crore just from the domestic markets. According to the report, states like Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are alone contributing an estimated Rs 105 crore. The film is also expected to draw in a significant collection of Rs 20 crore from Karnataka, Rs 15 crore from Tamil Nadu, and Rs 8 crore from Kerala.
Further, it has been predicted that the film will rake in an estimated Rs 85 crore from the rest of India. At the same time, the film’s advance bookings in the USA have already seen an extraordinary response, thus pushing the overseas box office collection to an estimated Rs 70 crore.
The film’s worldwide total is expected to be around Rs 303 crore.

By opting for a Thursday release, the producers are reportedly planning to maximise the film’s solo opening day potential.
Directed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa 2; continues the story of Pushpa Raj, the labourer-turned-sandalwood smuggler, played by Allu Arjun, from the blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. The sequel, featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, promises a blend of high-octane action, emotional drama, and pan-Indian appeal.
During a recent promotional event in Mumbai, Allu Arjun praised Rashmika Mandanna, who reprises her role as Srivalli, calling her integral to the franchise. “The Pushpa series is incomplete without Srivalli,” he said, appreciating her unwavering support and the positivity she brings to the team.

Mandanna, meanwhile, revealed that the sequel carries a significant emotional narrative in addition to the action. “There’s a strong family angle, and it’s going to be a mixture of everything—action, drama, and emotions,” she said, adding that the film’s set felt like home and that she was both sad and excited as the journey concluded.
The production team confirmed last week that the film received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
