The Hoops are in Bergamo looking for a quick European response to the 7-1 hammering in Germany three weeks ago.

It certainly won’t be easy against an Atalanta side who are the current Europa League holders.

Celtic thumped Slovan Bratislava 5-1 in their first game of the new-look Champions League, while Atalanta have taken four points from a possible six so far.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s men drew 0-0 with Arsenal in their opener before a 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in Gelsenkirchen.

Ahead of the game, Celts boss Brendan Rodgers has launched a major defence of his tactical approach in Europe – but will he change anything up this time around?
