It starts with a gent called “Lord Bertie Underwood” who – you’ve guessed it – turned out to be Robert Madejski, a young bloke from a London council estate. But before his fiancee Megan found this out, he’d already conned past lovers via the Grindr dating app and strangers on eBay out of millions. Before that, though, she looks back at some of her favourite memories at the BBC, from fighting to be a female journalist to honing her interviewing craft on Late Night Line Up. HR

It’s a tense, action-packed start to the second series of this Birmingham police drama. An underground crime lord and a nurse just off her night shift are shot dead in a drive-by outside a hospital. It’s up to Parminder Nagra’s DI Rachita Ray, who is back on the job two months after her suspension, to get to the bottom of it over the next six episodes. HR

From the team behind Tiger King, here is another exotic animal scandal, focusing on Tonia Haddix, who faked the death of ex-Hollywood chimpanzee star Tonka.
