Viewing numbers are in for Descendants: The Rise of Red months after it’s premiere!

The fourth film in the Descendants franchise, which picks up years after the third, debuted on Disney+ back in July and we now know just how well it has fared.

According to The Wrap, The Rise of Red has racked up 33 million views since it’s premiere. This makes it the most-watched live-action original movie on Disney+ since Hocus Pocus 2, which debuted in September 2022!

In the movie musical’s first three days, it beat Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour movie views with 6.7 million, up over two million above Eras Tour.

Following its premiere, Descendants: The Rise of Red was also the fifth most-watched streaming movie during the week July 8-14th on the Nielsen chart with 386 million viewing minutes, beating out Netflix’s A Family Affair and Max’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
