Shah Rukh Khan’s legendary 1989 series Fauji is making a comeback with an exciting new rendition! Filmmaker Sandeep Singh, partnering with Doordarshan, is set to introduce Fauji 2, offering a fresh and contemporary take on the beloved classic. This modern version will feature Gauahar Khan and Vicky Jain in leading roles, promising to captivate both old fans and new viewers alike!

Fauji 2 will also mark the entry of businessman and actor Ankita Lokhande’s husband, Vikas Jain, into mainstream television. Known for his appearances in reality shows like Bigg Boss 17, Vikas will take on the pivotal role of Colonel Sanjay Singh. Meanwhile, Gauahar Khan will step into the shoes of Lieutenant Colonel Simarjeet Kaur, a cadet trainer with a specialisation in weaponry. This exciting cast is sure to bring a fresh dynamic to the beloved series!

Discussing the new show, director Sandeep Singh shared his excitement saying, “We are bringing back one of the greatest shows ever seen on television but in a new and exciting version. The 1989 Fauji gave us Shahrukh Khan, an actor who captivated the entire nation not just with his unconventional looks but with his extraordinary energy and talent. With Fauji 2, I hope to recreate history and connect with every Indian, especially the youth.”
Fauji 2 will introduce 12 new actors to the entertainment industry, including Aashish Bhardwaj, Utkarsh Kohli, Rudra Soni, Aman Singh Deep, Ayaan Manchanda, Niel Satpuda, Suvansh Dhar, Priyanshu Rajguru, Udit Kapur, Maansi, and Sushmita Bhandari in key roles.
Adding to the show’s excitement, renowned singer Sonu Nigam will perform the title track, along with 11 other songs composed by Shreyas Puranik. Music directors Shashi Suman and Jazim Sharma have also contributed, with lyrics by Prashant Ingole, Mahimma Bhardwaj, and Abhendra Kumar Upadhyay.
Produced by Sandeep Singh, with co-production from Vikas Jain and Zafar Mehdi, Fauji 2 also marks the directorial debut of Abhinav Pareek, known for his previous works. The show will air on Doordarshan in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Bengali, reaching a broad audience!
