In Surat, preparations for Ghari sweets are underway ahead of the Chandi Padvo festival, which will be celebrated on October 17, the day after Sharad Purnima. Also known as Chandani Padva, this festival is observed in Gujarat, following the final full moon of the Hindu calendar year. Speaking on the same, Kaushal Ghaariwala, Shopkeeper, said, “…Whatever is added to Ghari it increases your immunity and power. Ghari is made of Khoya and dry fruits…After Navaratri, our focus is on the preparation of Ghari and bhusu…”
