However, a bunch of rumours speculating that the duo might have parted ways have been circulating on the internet. Neither Abhishek nor Aishwarya has openly addressed these rumours. But did you know that Abhishek’s mother, Jaya Bachchan, shared a very close bond with a Bollywood actress but still did not allow Abhishek to marry her?
If you’re wondering who we are talking about, it’s none other than Rani Mukerji. Rani and Jaya have bonded over various things and were often seen interacting warmly at public events. However, it was Jaya who disapproved of Rani Mukerji’s relationship with her son. Netizens speculate that Rani’s lack of close family ties may not have aligned with the traditional values of the Bachchan family, leading Jaya to oppose the marriage. On the contrary, Amitabh Bachchan reportedly wanted Rani to be his ‘Ghar ki Bahu.’
Recently, Jaya Bachchan visited a Durga Pandal in Bollywood and had a warm reunion with Rani Mukerji. Both Jaya and her daughter, Shweta, were seen chatting and laughing with Rani, showering her with affection. After watching the video, it’s hard to believe that this is the same Jaya Bachchan who had once disapproved of Rani’s relationship with Abhishek.
Meanwhile, as for Abhishek and Aishwarya’s married life, there are reports suggesting the couple’s relationship may be going through turmoil. Recently, a few rumours surfaced claiming that Abhishek had an affair with his Dasvi co-star, Nimrat Kaur.
Additionally, the entire Bachchan family was recently spotted at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. However, Aishwarya and her daughter, Aaradhya, were notably absent. Later, the mother-daughter duo arrived at the wedding separately, which further fueled rumours of a rift between Aishwarya and Abhishek.
As for Abhishek’s work, the actor is currently gearing up for his next film, King. The movie, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, will also feature Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter, Suhana Khan.
