Nordstrom Rack to open new location in Prosper, Texas

Seattle-based department store chain Nordstrom, Inc. has announced plans to open a new Nordstrom Rack in Prosper, Texas, come fall 2025.

“We look forward to being a part of the Prosper community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices,” said Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack, in a statement. “We’re excited to grow our footprint in the Dallas market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience.”

The new 26,000-square-foot store will open at The Gates of Prosper, a popular shopping center that includes other established retailers such as Target, Sephora, and HomeGoods. Located at the intersection of Dallas North Tollway, Preston Road, and Highway 380, the shopping center is owned and managed by Blue Star Land.

“We are looking forward to welcoming a brand the caliber of Nordstrom to The Gates of Prosper and the Prosper community. Nordstrom Rack will undoubtedly be a valuable addition, enhancing both The Gates and the shopping experience for our North Texas community,” said Joe Hickman, general manager for Blue Star Land.

In addition to opening a new store in Prosper, Nordstrom will open another location in Houston next spring. Both stores see Nordstrom expanding its physician footprint in the states as it aims to boost its economic impact in Texas. Nordstrom currently operates eight Nordstrom stores and 23 Nordstrom Rack stores in Texas, generating more than 3,800 jobs statewide.

The off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack offers up to 70 percent off current apparel, accessories, beauty products, footwear, and home decor from brands sold at Nordstrom while also providing additional services such as online order pickup for Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, returns, and alterations at select stores.
