Star Studios’ award-winning heartwarming family entertainer Gulmohar has won Best Film (Hindi), Best Dialogues and Special Mention for Manoj Bajpayee at the prestigious 70th National Film Awards, and the team received the Awards from President Smt. Droupadi Murmu at the ceremony today.

On receiving the National Film Awards 2024 for Gulmohar, Bikram Duggal, Head of Studios, Disney Star, said, “It has been an absolutely incredible experience to be part of India’s most prestigious film awards ceremony and to receive the National Award today for Gulmohar from our President Smt. Droupadi Murmu. Stories that resonate deeply and bring families together are especially important in today’s digital age and Gulmohar is one such story, with its heartwarming narrative. I extend our deepest gratitude to Rahul Chittella for his exceptional directorial debut, and we are equally proud to have collaborated with India’s finest talent to bring this story to the world.”

Directed by Rahul V. Chittella, Gulmohar stars the Padma Bhushan and National award-winning thespian Sharmila Tagore (who returned to cinema after a decade with this film), National Award-winning winning actor Manoj Bajpayee along with Simran, Suraj Sharma and National Award winner Amol Palekar in the lead.
Gulmohar is a Star Studios production in association with Chalkboard Entertainment and Autonomous Works. The film’s original music is composed by Siddhartha Khosla (This is Us). Directed by Rahul V. Chittella and written by Rahul V. Chittella and Arpita Mukherjee, Gulmohar is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
