This comes at a time when customers feel not too confident to invest money in electric vehicles due to concerns over their safety, range anxiety longevity, and reliability.
In a move to get new customers on board, a Bangalore-based electric two-wheelers startup has introduced a new initiative. The company has launched a new Simple Protect and Simple Super Protect extended warranty program for customers.
As per the details shared by the brand via an official release, the latest initiative will offer a unique 8-year or 60,000 kilometres (whichever comes first) warranty on its patented motor and electric scooter battery.

This comes at a time when customers feel not too confident to invest money in electric vehicles, and there are multiple reasons. The list includes concerns over their safety, range anxiety longevity, and reliability. The decision has been taken to overcome those doubts, and make the trust the future of e-mobility.

Speaking about the initiative, company’s Founder and CEO, Suhas Rajkumar, said, “We are proud to be the first in the industry to offer an 8-year warranty on our patented motor, solidifying our commitment to innovation and exceptional quality. The extended 8-year motor and battery warranty reflects our commitment to understanding and meeting consumer needs.”
Current Fleet
Meanwhile, Simple Energy offers two products to Indian customers – Simple One and the Simple Dot One. The former comes with a 5 kWh battery unit, generating a peak power of 10 bhp, and provides a maximum range of 212 km on a full charge. The latter gets a 3.7 kWh lithium-ion battery with a maximum range of up to 151 km.
