Central to Kia’s 2.0 transformation are the revolutionary Kia Connect 2.0 platform and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology. These advancements are poised to enhance the ownership experience by integrating smart mobility features into daily life.
Kia Connect 2.0 takes the concept of connected vehicles to the next level with Over-the-Air (OTA) updates that now extend beyond just maps. The system provides updates for vehicle diagnostics and performance, enabling remote diagnostics for models like the EV9 and Carnival Limousine. This innovation offers greater convenience by allowing vehicles to be updated and maintained without the need for a dealership visit.
The introduction of V2X technology marks another milestone in Kia’s KIN 2.0 strategy. This cutting-edge system allows vehicles to communicate with their environment, including infrastructure and other devices, creating an enhanced, interconnected mobility experience. Powered by a 99.8 kWh battery, the EV9 offers a remarkable range of up to 561 kilometers per charge, catering to both urban commutes and long-distance journeys. The SUV also features ultra-fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes with a 350kW DC charger.
Inside, the EV9 showcases a Trinity panoramic display, merging multiple high-definition screens to provide an immersive driving experience. The interior focuses on luxury, with Tuscan & Umber two-tone leather seats, a BOSE premium sound system, and second-row powered relaxation seats with heating, ventilation, and leg support.
In terms of safety, the Carnival Limousine comes equipped with 23 Level 2 ADAS features, including Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Spot Collision Warning. It also boasts 8 airbags, electronic stability control, and a comprehensive set of passive safety features.
