Kia EV9 & New-Gen Carnival Launched In India, Here’s All You Need To Know About Both Models

After making everyone drool over the EV9 during the AutoExpo 2023, the premium car maker Kia has finally launched the model, alongside with 2024 Carnival Limousine. These models have been released with a price tag of Rs 1.3 crore and Rs. 63.90 lakh respectively.

The company has already kickstarted the booking for both models, and the deliveries will begin soon. In case you are interested, both the CBU units can be reserved via authorised dealership nationwide or online through Kia’s official website in India.

All About Kia EV9

Talking about the EV9 first, it shares the same road presence as seen during the AutoExpo 2023. However, the production model has been treated with a slight cosmetic enhancement that makes it look aesthetic in its segment. It gets a massive front fascia, featuring a unique headlight setup, paired with sleek DRLs with the trending connected light strip bar at the front. There is an underbody silver finished skid plate for extra protection during challenging roads.

The SUV comes with an impressive ground clearance of 200 mm and offers wheel options ranging from 20 to 22 inches, ensuring to treat every road condition with ease.

Battery and Range

When it comes to the powertrain, the uses a robust 99.8kWh battery pack that provides a maximum range of up to 490km on a single charge. It is a dual-electric all-wheel drive (AWD) version that generates a maximum power of 379bhp and 700 Nm of torque. The company claims that it can do 0-100km/h in just 5.3 seconds.

The updated Carnival clearly has been given some major updates from both inside and outside. The model flaunted an SUV-inspired look, featuring an aggressive grille at the front, vertical LED headlights and L-shaped LED DRLs.

The latest version runs on the latest  18-inch alloy wheels, and the decent side body cladding makes it look more appealing in the segment. Under the hood, the model is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, generating an overall output of 192hp and 441Nm of torque. The unit is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
