Mahabharat star Roopa Ganguly was recently arrested by the Kolkata Police. The actress was a part of a peaceful protest on the premises of Bansdroni Police Station. It’s the same area where a schoolboy died after getting hit by an excavator in Bansdroni. Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Kumar Verma also gave a statement on the actress’ arrest in Kolkata. In a statement to ANI, Manoj Kumar Verma said that the unfortunate incident of a schoolboy’s death happened on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The kid died in an accident and law and order situation was involved. The commissioner revealed that multiple cases have been lodged in this case and five people have been arrested so far. “Roopa Ganguly arrived at the Police station; she said that the police release the arrested people without any conditions, they were arrested for manhandling the Police,” shared Verma. On the other hand, Roopa Ganguly also shared her reaction on the arrest. The actress said, “I haven’t troubled anyone. I haven’t hindered anyone’s work.
