TNPSC Combined Engineering Services Exam 2024: Final Merit List Released at tnpsc.gov.in

TNPSC CESE 2024 Final Results: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the final results for the Combined Engineering Services Examination (CESE) 2024 on its official website, tnpsc.gov.in. Candidates who appeared for the final phase of the recruitment examination can now access their results using their registration number and date of birth.
The Commission conducted the physical certificate verification and oral tests for candidates shortlisted from the written exam on 28th and 29th August 2024 in two sessions.
The minimum qualifying marks for the written exam were set at 228 out of 500 for general category candidates and 171 out of 500 for SC, ST, and OBC candidates. The selection process for the TNPSC CESE involved a written exam comprising two papers: Paper I with subject-specific questions (300 marks) and Paper II focusing on general studies and mental ability (200 marks). Candidates who passed the written exam progressed to document verification.

After verifying original documents, including educational certificates and caste certificates (if applicable), shortlisted candidates were invited for an oral test. The interview, worth 70 marks, assessed candidates’ personality, technical expertise, and communication skills.
The final merit list was prepared based on the combined scores from the written exam (500 marks) and interview (70 marks). Successful candidates will receive appointment orders and be assigned to departments such as Public Works, Highways, and Rural Development.
