When it was announced that the British rock band Coldplay will be touring in India in January 2025 for their Music of the Spheres World Tour, Indian fans couldn’t keep calm. The brand consists of Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Phile Harvey, Will Champion, and Jonny Buckland. The dates for the same are January 18, 19, and 21, 2025. The tickets for the same were available on BookMyShow on September 22 and the shows were sold out in an hour. Now, BMS is being accused of running an alleged ticket scam.
As per the report, Book My Show’s CEO, Ashish Hemrajani, was summoned by Mumbai Police over the alleged black marketing of Coldplay India concert tickets. Ever since the news of the alleged ticket scams has grabbed headlines, the internet is filled with interesting reactions. A popular Instagram page shared a post that the concert might get cancelled. The post was shared on Reddit, which has become a big topic of discussion.
While some people hope the concert gets cancelled, others have shared that it won’t happen as the band is quite popular. One person wrote, “If it does get cancelled, rip to people who bought from scalpers.” Another Redditor commented, “we kinda deserve it for what happened to the sales.” One more person wrote, “There’s almost no way they are going to cancel the tour in India.”
A Reddit user shared that they have bought the tickets and would be shattered if the concert gets cancelled. “What about real fans who actually managed to get tickets like me. I somehow bought 2 tickets and have been excited ever since, if Coldplay cancels their tour, I’ll be pretty devastated,” wrote a fan. “Weird conclusion, just because they’re summoned by the cops doesn’t mean the entire concert is cancelled,” a comment reads.

So far, there is no confirmation of the Coldplay concert getting cancelled in India. These are just speculations amid the alleged ticket scam. The best we can do is wait for the organisers to officially post an update. The concert will take place at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
