Mossi Spring 2025 Ready-to-Wear Runway, Fashion Show & Collection Review

Mossi Traoré, who launched e-commerce earlier this month, continued his pursuit of democratizing fashion for the people for spring 2025.

The winner of ANDAM’s Pierre Bergé Prize borrowed architectural silhouettes and volumes from French sculptor Simone Pheulpin and couturier Madame Grès for a wardrobe that was both avant-garde and inclusive.

He showed many shades of blue — a symbol of hope and new energy for the brand — alongside black and white, on garments with beautiful — some dramatic — drapings, as well as pragmatic office attire. The slogan “En mode Mossi” could be found on oversized t-shirts. Traoré called it “a message of willpower and determination.”

The designer also played with pink and blue checks — a symbol of the balance of Indian tradition and modernity, he said — and Japanese denim and crêpe, for finer touches.

The designer’s show this time attracted a big crowd from China, as he was one of three designers picked for the “Perspectives croisées” exhibition, which celebrates the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between France and the People’s Republic of China.
