Quality Street has added an exclusive flavour to it’s 11-piece lineup

In a move that will delight sweet lovers, Nestlé has reintroduced the tempting Coffee Creme to its iconic Quality Street offering.

After a hiatus of more than 20 years, this beloved flavour made its much-anticipated comeback in 2023, just in time for the festive season. And now it’s back to do the same this year, as confirmed by Emily Grimbley, Brand Manager for Quality Street.

“It’s a pleasure to share the news that coffee creme will be returning for Christmas 2024. This is an absolute fan favourite, and we are delighted to have it on shop shelves for Quality Street fans nationwide”, said Emily.

The Coffee Creme is a masterful blend of rich, dark chocolate and a smooth, coffee-flavoured fondant filling.

Encased in a tempting bronze-brown wrapper adorned with the iconic gold ‘Quality Street’ branding, the flavour fits in perfectly with the long-standing lineup, but its exclusive return means it’s not as easy to get hold of.

The coffee flavour fondant will join the 11 tasty Quality Street sweets at pick-and-mix stations across selected John Lewis stores in the UK. Coffee Creme will also be available in a limited-edition cracker at Waitrose and John Lewis stores.

Shoppers will be able to create a bespoke collection of Quality Street favourites to take home or gift, this Christmas at the pick and mix stations. What’s more, pick-and-mix crackers will also be returning this year for shoppers to enjoy

Lisa Cherry, Christmas Buying Lead at John Lewis, revealed that the tantalising new fondants are on sale from today in an exclusive location.

She said: “The pick and mix station at John Lewis’s flagship Oxford Street store opens on September 25 with other participating stores following throughout October.”

Just 20 pick-and-mix stations across the UK will sell the new sweets; Bluewater, Cambridge, Cardiff, Cheadle, Cribbs Causeway, Edinburgh, Glasgow, High Wycombe, Kingston, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford Street (Platinum), Peter Jones, Solihull, Southampton and Trafford.

While some shoppers can’t wait to get their hands on the decadent new sweet, the flavour has been divisive.

Responding to the news of their return on X, formerly Twitter, Quality Street fans claimed that “coffee creams are just the best” and proclaimed it’s “about time”.

Others weren’t so tempted by them, with one person commenting: “Yuk. The one to avoid for me.” Another chimed: “Absolutely not! Coffee-flavoured anything is rancid in my opinion.”

The exclusive flavour isn’t the only thing Quality Street lovers can get their hands on this Christmas.

Shoppers will also find a brand-new Quality Street tin design, inspired by its Halifax heritage, where the sweets are still manufactured today.

Chocolate fiends can refill their own John Lewis-bought tins or purchase the exclusive special edition tin inspired by its Halifax heritage.

The John Lewis limited edition tin, Coffee Crème Cracker and the new personalised pouches, with phrases including ‘Quality Christmas’ and ‘You’re my fave Street’ on the pack, will be available in John Lewis and Waitrose stores nationwide.
