The Indian men’s team defeated the USA by 2.5-1.5 in the final and it was the country’s first-ever open-title gold medal in the category. Gukesh started off things with a win whereas Praggnanandhaa ended up losing his match. On the other hand, Arjun Erigaisi and Vidit Gujrathi settled for draws.
