Best X12 Akimbo Close-Range Meta Build in Warzone and MW3

Call of Duty HQ houses several pistols that not all players are using these days thanks to the rotating SMG/AR meta of the game. And with the two primary weapons being the main thing in Warzone, pistols are overshadowed by the likes of Reclaimer-18 and Static-HV. However, once in a blue moon, there are pistol loadouts like the X12 that shine if you use their best Akimbo build in Warzone.

While there were always some better options like the Cor-45 and Renetti, the X12 was even outthrown by its full auto twin brother X13. But, MW3 has given the poor X12 a small damage advantage, allowing players to enjoy the luxury of quick TTK if you’re fast on pulling the triggers.

Notice! If you’re a controller player, I’d suggest that you choose the Paired option for the Akimbo builds so that you can shoot both weapons by pressing one button only. This results in a consistent fire rate by shooting both weapons at once.

Tactical:

Since the hip fire accuracy is one of the main qualities of the X12 pistol, it’s best to choose our attachments in favor of increased damage range for the best Akimbo build of this gun in Warzone. And the best in the damage range business is the Sonic Suppressor, which has an XS variant for pistols as a muzzle.

Sonic Suppressor’s best friend is a barrel that also buffs the damage, range, and bullet velocity, which in this case is the XRK Sidewinder-6 Slider. Now while the X12 is not a fully automatic pistol, we still need it to have a quick fire rate to rechamber those semi-auto shots faster, hence the XRK Lighting Fire trigger action.

As for the perks, we need something that helps us rush through the enemy lines without getting ourselves killed for the lack of speed and enemy mines. Double Time for the speed, Flex for ignoring the planted bombs, and Quick Revive for killing that second enemy’s teammate after you’ve dealt with the first target. And if they’re trying to jump down the rooftops to escape, you know the Mountaineer clutch, right? Least fall damage ever with this perk.

Primary Weapon: STG44

  • Stock: DR79 Combo Stock
  • Barrel: Bruen Acrux Heavy Barrel
  • Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
  • Magazine: 50-Round Drum
  • Optic: VLK 4.0 Optic

No matter how strong, X12 is only a pistol in Warzone, and that means even with the best builds, you still need to have a solid primary weapon in your loadout to hit mid to long-range shots with. For that, we suggest the WWII special rifle, STG44.

Combining the Quartermaster Suppressor muzzle and Bruen Acrux Heavy Barrel with the DR79 Combo Stock kills the STG44’s gunkick and recoil. All that’s left is to put a large 50-round Drum magazine under your rifle and put on an optic like the VLK 4.0 for precision sights.
