During the IIFA 2024 press conference in Mumbai, which was graced by Abhishek Banerjee, Karan Johar, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Rana Daggubati, Shah Rukh Khan took a moment to commend Abhishek’s performance in the film. SRK said, “Abhishek, it is so wonderful to see you live, after seeing your wonderful film (Stree 2). I have been wanting to call you.” Later, King Khan gave a warm hug to Banerjee on stage.
Abhishek Banerjee plays the character of Jana in Stree 2, the only character who gets possessed by the ghost in the first installment. Jana, portrayed as a naive yet loyal friend, is always caught in difficult situations, and his portrayal has been widely loved by audiences. His character’s innocence and unwavering friendship have made him a fan favourite. Abhishek Banerjee also appeared in Bhediya, another horror-comedy directed by Amar Kaushik, starring Varun Dhawan. In Stree 2, he delivered yet another stellar performance, adding to his growing reputation as a versatile actor in the genre.
