DAREDEVIL Kriss Kyle has created a BMX track that is so “dangerous” even his legendary stunt rider pal Danny MacAskill won’t try it.
The Red Bull rider yesterday launched the Dreamline trail at Glassie Bike Park near Aberfeldy, Perthshire.
But Kris, 32, admits that Skye-born Danny, 38, who was at the opening event, is yet to ride the course.
He says: “Danny has not rode it because it’s not really his thing. I am going to take him up again for a look – but I don’t think he’s going to touch it.
“He thinks I’m crazy with the stuff I do and I think he’s crazy with the stuff he does.”
Kris, from Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, adds: “I wanted to build something that was ridiculous. A one of a kind. Other bike parks are boring compared to this.
“They basically let me build whatever the hell I liked. It’s usually hard to get these things all signed off because it’s pretty dangerous. But Glassie Bike Park were just like ‘f**k it – let’s just do it.’
“I was like ‘Holy s**t, I can’t believe they’ve gone for that.’ So they’ve opened it up to the general public which is mad.”
Kriss burst onto the cycling scene in 2012 as he battled it out with the world’s top riders at events in Paris and Estonia.
Then following in the tyre tracks of his idol Danny MacAskill, he released his first major video Kaleidoscope in 2015 which has had over five million views.
But that was eclipsed in 2019 by his drop from a helicopter onto the 690ft high helipad onto the Dubai landmark.
The Scots incredible copter stunt on the Burj Al Arab hotel earned 15million views on YouTube.
While over a 1million people watched him perform backflip in a skatepark dangled from a giant hot air balloon 2,100ft above the Wiltshire countryside last year.
But Kriss insists anyone can try his new track – at their own risk.
He jokes: “It is unique and anyone can try but you need to be handy on a bike – its ride at your own risk, innit.”
