A MAN is due in court today in connection with the death of a young woman at a block of flats in Glasgow.
Brodie MacGregor, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene after being found in a property in Elmvale Street in the Springburn area of the city on Monday morning.
The case has been referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner.
Yesterday, a 52-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Emergency crews rushed to the property after the alarm was raised around 10.15am on Monday.
But Brodie could not be saved and she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Yesterday, locals told of their shock after hearing about Brodie’s death.
Speaking to The Scottish Sun, one resident said: “She was a lovely lassie. Very quiet.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 52-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Glasgow.
“Around 10.15am on Monday, 26 August, 2024, officers were called to a property in Elmvale Street, Glasgow.
“Brodie MacGregor, 23, was found within and pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing.”
