LEG 1 Euchen Glen, Wafei
Euchen Glen is a fan favourite veteran who will be staying on powerfully late on and could easily nick a place.
Wafei sneaks in off a tiny weight and can get the job done. He made late headway over 1m3f on handicap debut at Goodwood and this test should suit perfectly on that evidence.
LEG 2 Alsakib, Gregory
Alsakib kept on finding to win a 1m6f Group 2 here last time. That was in tough conditions too, so a step up to this distance looks the perfect move.
Gregory posted a career-best when third in the Goodwood Cup last time. That form is up there with the best in this line-up and it is still relatively early days for him.
LEG 3 Big Mojo, Caburn
Most read in Horse Racing
Big Mojo created a huge impression when winning the Molecomb on his second start. He fell out of the stalls, but flashed home to win with plenty in hand.
Caburn is 2-2 and open to plenty of progress still.
LEG 4 Bradsell, Asfoora
Bradsell won last year’s King Stand and was back to his best on return when cruising to success in France. He ran well in this race last year when racing in the wrong group and his extra stamina is a big positive, as this is likely to be run at a searing gallop.
Asfoora has been sensational this summer and this track will suit more than Goodwood.
LEG 5 Reach, Dreamrocker
Reach won this race last year with plenty up her sleeve and she’s been in good form in two starts this campaign. She’s clearly been lined up for this and despite the poor form of the yard, she can go back to back.
Dreamrocker could find more improvement upped in trip.
LEG 6 Arabian Angel, Whirl
Karl Burke’s Arabian Angel finished second on debut but is bred to enjoy this trip.
Whirl ran well in a good Curragh maiden on debut for Aidan O’Brien. His runners always improve for a run and she’s entitled to lots of respect as a result.
