Earlier this year, Pistorius was released on parole after serving half of his 13-year and five-month murder sentence. He now lives with his uncle Arnold in their Pretoria mansion.

Reeva left behind her mother, June, and father, Barry, who sadly died in September 2023.

The couple formed the foundation in 2015 to assist victims of GBV.

June said in an interview: “I came to the realisation that instead of sitting at home and crying, I need to get myself together and try help women affected by violence.”

She added: “The foundation gives me a reason to go on. A reason to live and to move forward; helping other people is what my life is about now. This has helped me a lot.”

For her 40th birthday last year,  Vanity Fair Italy honoured Reeva Steenkamp’s wish to be featured on the fashion magazine’s pages.

The publication says of the late model’s parents, June and the now late Barry Steenkamp: “They tell us that one of Reeva’s biggest dreams was to be featured in Vanity Fair, and we’re happy to be able to make it happen.”
