Actor Kriti Sanon has been at the centre of rumours suggesting she’s dating UK-based businessman Kabir Bahia. The speculation intensified after photos emerged of them allegedly sharing the same shrug, and pictures of the duo partying together on the Greek island of Mykonos went viral. The rumoured couple reportedly travelled to Greece to celebrate Kriti’s 34th birthday. However, the actor has not officially confirmed the relationship. In a recent interview, Kriti shared her frustration with how these rumours, particularly about her personal life, have an impact on her loved ones.
Speaking to Filmfare, Kriti explained, “When false and negative information is published about me, it’s not just frustrating for me, but it also affects my family.” She believes her family shouldn’t have to deal with the “repercussions” of unfounded rumours. Kriti added, “It’s especially aggravating when baseless rumours, like me supposedly getting married, start circulating.”
She also mentioned how these marriage rumours lead to confusion among her friends, who often reach out to her for confirmation. “Friends then message me assuming it’s true, and I have to clarify that it’s not. People often don’t bother to verify facts before spreading stories, especially on social media where negativity spreads quickly,” she said.
Expressing her frustration over the constant need to correct these falsehoods, Kriti noted, “Having to constantly correct these rumors is incredibly irritating and ends up being more bothersome than anything else.”
Kriti, who was last seen in the film Crew, also voiced her disappointment with the reckless judgments people make on social media. “People often forget that the person on the receiving end is also human,” she said, adding, “There’s a trend where people derive satisfaction from posting negative comments online.”
