Zoomcar Hosts now have more control over their car-sharing business through a unified app.
With plans to expand this model, Zoomcar aims to add over 1,000 Hosts across 100+ cities by the end of 2024, paving the way for more success stories.
Zoomcar, the NASDAQ-listed leader in self-drive car sharing, has launched its first Fulfillment Center in Chennai.
The company aims to open over 100 such centers and add 1,000+ cars by December 2024. These centers are managed by third-party providers who are verified, trained, and supported by Zoomcar.
They handle all operations for car owners, known as Hosts, who want to share their cars but find it challenging to manage the logistics.
Top Zoomcar Hosts can earn up to ₹60,000 per month with a single car. The secret to their success? A high rating (4.5+), availability in high-demand locations, and having a good car model. Zoomcar’s expertise in the car-sharing business helps these Fulfillment Centers offer top-notch services to Guests. For a small fee, Hosts can get services like car management, cleanliness, secure parking, delivery and pickup, and direct coordination with Guests.
Cars managed through these centers are tagged as “Assured by Zoomcar” on the app, giving Guests reliable booking options with 24/7 pick-up and drop-off. The Chennai pilot has shown promising results, with over 20 Hosts signing up within days and getting an average of three bookings within 24 hours.
Zoomcar Hosts now have more control over their car-sharing business with the unified app, allowing them to manage multiple cars, track their car’s ranking in real-time, and customize booking options. New Hosts can also install a GPS tracker and keyless entry device when signing up.
Zoomcar’s CEO, Hiroshi Nishijima, said, “Since 2013 we’ve been the largest platform for self drive cars in India and we are obsessed with providing assured bookings to our Guests.”
Zoomcar’s shift from car ownership to a marketplace model is now empowering Hosts across the country. The company plans to expand this model to over 100 cities by December 2024.
