Growing up in an army family, Varun talks about his early aspirations for his role in the show, says, “I grew up in an army background and I was all set to join the army. Getting ‘Naam Namak Nishan’ hit straight home. It was like living a life I thought I would live at one point.”
This new role took him back to his 19-year-old self, the young man who was preparing to don the uniform. “I went back to being the 19-year-old Varun who was getting ready to join the army. It’s also a very special show for my family.”
Before this significant role, Varun had already made his mark with several notable projects. He garnered attention with his performance in the web series Karmma Calling. Following this, he appeared in the film Jugjugg Jeeyo. He will also be seen in the web show Call Me Bae alongside actress Ananya Panday.
