Bollywood veteran actress Dimple Kapadia was a teenager when she fell head over heels in love with superstar Rajesh Khanna. The couple got married and Dimple took a break from her successful career for a few years. In an earlier interview, Dimple shared that she was naive when she fell in love with Rajesh. She called herself ‘filmy’ when she thought Rajesh would sing ‘Mere Sapko Ki Rani’ song for her in the mountains.

Talking at FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter a few years ago, Dimple Kapadia said that she is a filmy kid and thought her husband would sing for her in the mountains. As Dimple laughed while sharing the anecdote, she said that she was quite young when she met the actor and was highly influenced by the movies.
Dimple said that she is not lying as she was young and his films had an impact on her mind. She said that her dreams got shattered as she believed it. She called herself dumb as she said how could she be so dumb? Dimple spoke about the best role in life and she said that it has been Mrs Rajesh Khanna. Well, Dimple and Rajesh stayed together for almost 8 years before parting ways. The two never got divorced and shared two daughters – Twinkle and Rinke Khanna.

Dimple met Rajesh when she signed Bobby at the age of 13. There was a 15-year age gap between her and Rajesh Khanna. She said that she had signed Raj Kapoor’s film and was called for a function in Ahmedabad. Rajesh was also on the same flight and they sat next to each other. She told him that the place would be crowded, and would he hold her hand and he agreed. Dimple asked whether he will hold her hand forever. Rajesh Khanna passed away in 2021 at 69.
