A PICTURESQUE Scottish beauty spot has been named among the best places to enjoy a coastal walk in the UK.
Experts at FlipFlop examined over 50 popular coastal trails across the country to provide exploration inspiration for holidaygoers this summer.
Each place was scored out of 100 on a variety of criteria, including data from Instagram, TikTok posts, and the percentage of five-star reviews on Tripadvisor.
They were also given a ‘walk rating’, and an average score determined their final ranking.
The walking sandals and trainers experts then narrowed the list of 50 routes down to the top ten.
And with Scotland’s stunning scenery, it’s no surprise that one trail made the top five.
Ranking in fourth place, the Arran Coastal Way in Buteshire received a score of 42.01.

Holidaygoers can also visit a range of tourist attractions while walking along the trail, like Brodick Castle, Lochranza Castle and Lochranza Distillery.
King’s Cave, which was formed during the last ice age, is also available to visit, as well as the standing stones on Machrie Moor, after a climb along the rugged Goat Fell.
To get to Arran, visitors can take a one-hour ferry trip from Ardrossan to Brodick.
The walk then starts at Brodick and then travels north on quiet and remote trails through the charming village of Sannox, and onto Lochranza.
Here, walkers can visit the castle, sample the local whisky, and take in the views along Loch Fyne.
From there, the route curves south through quiet country roads to reach Blackwaterfoot and idyllic Lagg.
It will then swing north via Lamlash and return to Brodick, where visitors can rest after an unforgettable experience.
It is also recognised as one of ‘Scotland’s Great Trails’ after achieving the status back in 2017.
The route was singled out by experts for being “perfect for avid ramblers”, adding that it is “perfect for a week-long walking holiday”.
