Akshay Kumar takes a dig at those trolling him for doing four films in a year after ‘Sarfira’ also tanked at the box office. The film is a Hindi remake of Surya starrer Soorarai Pottru.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who starred in Sarfira, a newly released theatrical production, has addressed the allegation that he is doing films too quickly. The actor’s decision to work on four films a year has frequently been questioned, and his enthusiasm for his job has been misinterpreted as a rapacious desire for financial gain.
Akshay Kumar Responds to Trolls For Doing 4 Films in a Year
During a conversation with Mamaearth founder Gazhal Alagh, Akshay said, “Mujhe kehte hain ye chaar film kyu karta hai saal mein… isko ek film karni chahiye… chalo main ek picture kar leta hu baaki din kya karunga? Tere ghar mein aaun? Beta, yaad rakhna lucky are those people who get work. Yahan roz koi na koi bolta hai berozgaari chal rahi hai ye chal raha hai wo chal raha hai… jisko kaam mil raha hai usko toh karne do (I have been told why I do four films a year, and that I should do only one film. If I just do one film, what should I do on other days).”
“Many people tell others they work too much, lucky are those people who get work. In this day and age, so many people don’t get work, they are unemployed, but at least let the ones who are getting work, work, ” he added.
Akshay Kumar Was Cheated Professionally His Producers
Khiladi Kumar also disclosed that a few producers had professionally cheated him. “I detach from a person if someone cheats me. I go quiet and take a side path. I have been cheated professionally, a couple of producers have not paid me, that is cheating only, ” the actor stated.
Everyone was aware that a movie starring Akshay was guaranteed to be a smash. But lately, at the box office, all of his movies—regardless of genre—have been vanishing quicker than a drowning man. Apparently, Sarfira marks his eleventh straight failure, following Bachchan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Once a reliable winner, Akshay is now consistently producing bombs. For those who don’t know, throughout the 1990s, Akshay Kumar delivered 16 straight bombs. He decided to relocate to Canada at this time since he believed his career was finished.
On the professional front, Akshay is now working on three other movies, including Housefull 5, Khel Khel Mein, and Welcome To The Jungle. The actor will also feature in Singham Again, a multi-starrer directed by Rohit Shetty.
