Rane has been asked to remain present before the investigation officer (IO) to share information, if any, about Salian’s death
Mumbai police’s special investigation team on Thursday asked BJP MLA Nitesh Rane to share any information he has about the death of Disha Salian, who was a former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Salian was found dead on June 8, 2020 on the premises of the building she was residing in the city’s Malad area.
The SIT letter to Rane was sent by Malwani police station senior inspector Chimaji Adhav, who is probing the case, the official said.
Rane has been asked to remain present before the investigation officer (IO) to share information, if any, about Salian’s death, he said.
“Rane can come as per his time and to avoid any inconvenience, he has been asked to call Adhav before making his way to Malwani police station,” the official said quoting the letter.
“Have Been Saying Sushant & Disha’s Case Was Murder”, Says BJP’s Nitesh Rane
Speaking to the media on the Disha Salian case, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane said, “I have been saying that Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian case was a murder case, there was a conspiracy to hide the murder. There was an MVA government, Uddhav Thackeray was the CM; Aditya Thackeray’s name was in suspect, if he has not done anything, he should disclose his tower location on June 8, 13 (days of deaths).”
“We think that he was at the spot. Why the CCTV footage was deleted, watchman disappeared, two pages of visitor’s book were removed. Final post-mortem report has not come. I will disclose all the truth in front of SIT so that the real murderers should be caught. Mahayuti government will not leave them and bring the truth to the fore,” he added.
As per police, Salian (28) allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a high-rise building in Malad.
The SIT was formed in December last year.
Rajput (34) allegedly hanged himself in his Bandra home on June 14, some days after Salian’s death.
