KB on call for her to sing EVERY national anthem

Actress and singer Keabetswe Motsilanyane, also known as “KB,” has been left “speechless” by a call from Springbok fans to sing every national anthem going forward.

The star had South Africans in tears with her moving rendition of Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika at Loftus when the Boks took on Ireland on Saturday, 6 July.

The singer was also hailed a “class act” for allowing the crowd to finish the song. Undoubtedly, KB’s performance set the tone for the momentous victory of 27-20 between the rugby rivals.

KB REACTS TO CALL FOR HER TO SING EVERY NATIONAL ANTHEM

The Springboks’ victory against Ireland at Loftus had South Africans beaming with pride. But it was the national anthem sung by KB that had Saffas around the world overcome with emotion.

With her impeccable vocals and spell-binding presence, KB managed to unite the country through song and its love of rugby.

Sharing a clip of her performance on Instagram, the former 7de Laan actress posted: “With gratitude.” 

In the comments section, the star was praised by Springbok players, celebrities, and rugby fans for her rendition.

When one follower claimed that fans should start a petition for her to sing every national anthem at a rugby match, KB responded: “I’m humbled, thank you.”

“I feel so blessed to have been a part of a wonderful moment,” KB responded to another who thanked her for uniting the nation.

Also praising KB was newly-appointed Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie.

He tweeted: “After that stellar opening performance by KB Motsilanyane, I knew we had this one in the bag.”
