- The OPPO Reno 12 series will launch in India on July 12th, according to a report by TheTechOutlook. While we do know that the launch will take place very soon, it does seem plausible that the Reno 12 5G series might launch on July 12th.
- The report further adds that the Oppo Reno 12 5G will launch in a single 8GB + 256GB storage option. The Reno 12 Pro 5G will launch in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage options.
- It looks like OPPO is bringing only a few variants of the Reno 12 series and skipping the bigger capacities like 16GB RAM and 12GB RAM for the base model.
OPPO has been teasing the Reno 12 series India launch highlighting its AI features. It will come with AI Eraser 2.0 which works like Magic Eraser by removing unwanted objects from photos. AI Studio lets you create AI-powered portraits from your photos. There’s AI Best Face that fixes things like closed eyes. The OPPO Reno 12 series will also come with AI Recording Summary, AI Summary, and AI LinkBoost.
The OPPO Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro offer a similar set of specifications. One of the differences is the chipset which is MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition on the Reno 12, and the Dimensity 8250 Star Speed Edition on the Reno 12 Pro. Both phones also house a 50MP wide-angle lens, a 50MP portrait lens, an 8MP ultra-wide camera at the back, and a 50MP front camera.
