POLICE are investigating the death of a teen following a festival in a popular seaside town.
The 17-year-old girl passed away in hospital on the evening of June 29.
It is understood that she had been attending a drum and bass festival at Dreamland amusement park in Margate, Kent.
The seaside hotspot was the venue for the all-day Worried About Henry event.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called at 5.58pm on Saturday, June 29 to be made aware of the death of a 17-year-old girl at the QEQM hospital in Margate.
“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the death and a report is being made for the coroner.”
The South East Coast Ambulance Service, Dreamland and Worried About Henry have been contacted for comment.
It comes after a 22-year-old tourist died while “jumping over a wall to escape robbers” after travelling to Brazil for a Madonna concert in May.
