Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal took their relationship a step further and married on June 23, 2024, in a civil ceremony. Following their intimate wedding at home, the couple drove to Shilpa Shetty’s Mumbai restaurant to entertain a large number of Bollywood guests. In addition to attending their guests, the newlyweds had a fantastic time dancing the night away.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer had their first dance as husband and wife in a video from the wedding reception. The groom left the bride blushing with his moves on the reprised of the original song ‘Afreen Afreen’ by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The bride, interestingly, walked down the aisle under the phoolon ki chaddar as the same song played in the background.

In another from the reception, Sonakshi and Anil Kapoor were seen dancing to the sounds of dhol. Kajol hugged Sonakshi tightly as she waved her goodbye. Many celebrities gathered to congratulate the newlyweds, including Salman Khan, Rekha, Kajol, Tabu, Richa Chadha, Vidya Balan, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. At their wedding reception, the pair spent time together even though they were all having a great time.
The couple announced their happy union on social media by sharing official photos from their civil ceremony. Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer revealed that they fell in love on June 23, seven years ago, and decided to marry on that same date in the caption. It read, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife.
