SAN FRANCISCO — The Yankees finally decided on Sunday morning what the next step is for rehabbing ace Gerrit Cole. As expected, the reigning American League Cy Young winner is moving on to minor-league rehab starts.
Cole’s first start will be Tuesday night for the Double-A Somerset Patriots in Bridgewater, N.J., Yankees manager Aaron Boone announced before Sunday’s Yankees-Giants’ game at Oracle Park.
