Right-Wing Figures Flock To El Salvador For Inauguration

Right-wing influencers flocked to El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele’s inauguration on Saturday, where he was sworn in for a second five-year term.

According to the Associated Press, the event was hosted in San Salvador, the country’s capital, and guests included Spanish King Felipe VI and Argentinian President Javier Milei.

In February, Bukele captured a second term with 83% of the vote. His crackdown on criminal gangs throughout the country is seen as a significant contributor to his electoral success.

“We have finally conquered fear and are a truly free country,” said the 42-year-old conservative politician during his inauguration speech. Moreover, his political party, Nuevas Ideas, won 54 of the 60 seats in parliament.

Burkele administration has been admired publicly by former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson and praised by right-wing politician such as Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who were all in attendance on Saturday.

“It was an honor to attend the inauguration of President @nayibbukele in El Salvador with @DonaldJTrumpJr, @TuckerCarlson, and countless conservatives who support President Bukele’s bold vision,” Gaetz wrote to his followers on X, formerly Twitter.

Gaetz added, “He is the most inspirational head of state in the Western Hemisphere by far.”

Donald Trump Jr. and other attendees also uploaded pictures and footage to social media of the inauguration.
