‘Problem solved’ Samsung owners yell as free phone upgrade fixes ‘annoying’ camera issue

SOME Samsung owners may receive an update on their smartphone very soon – but there aren’t any fancy new features with this one.

The tech giant has been going big with new AI tools for texting and beyond recently.

However, this latest software update is apparently less glamorous.

And it’s only available on two Galaxy smartphones.

Samsung’s official update log is vague on details, simply saying it addresses a “stability and reliability” issue.

But a user has reported that it actually fixes an “annoying” issue with the camera.

“Say goodbye to annoying video rattles!” wrote @tarunvats33 on X.

“I have this problem! Expected for this update,” another commented.

The update is coming to Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S23 Ultra handsets, according to SamMobile.

So far, it’s only been rolled out in Thailand so owners in other countries will have to keep an eye out if they’re suffering with the same problem.

You can check for updates manually whenever you like too.

Just head to Settings, followed by Software update, then select Download and install.

Samsung’s new AI features

Samsung has been rolling out a load of free new AI tools to smartphones since the beginning of the year.

Browsing Assist

You can instantly translate any message with Chat Assist.

Circle to Search

Circle to Search is a brand new Android feature that works with Google search.

The tool lets you circle anything on your screen and search it.

So it could be a famous face in a video or a scarf you spot in a photo.

AI generated wallpaper

The AI generated wallpaper feature allows you to create just about anything without doing all the hard work.

Within the wallpaper settings, you get to select categories and keywords that will produce a unique wallpaper for you.

Edit suggestion

AI can change your writing tone style instantly with the Samsung Keyboard.

So you can change a formal message into something more relaxed for friends.

It also will make grammar and spelling corrections.

Generative edit

AI is used for advanced photo editing features.

This includes the ability to remove unwanted objects with greater accuracy.

Interpreter

Language barriers no longer need to be a problem on holiday.

The Interpreter mode translates a conversation in real-time for you.

Live Translate

You can translate calls in real-time too with the Live Translate tool.

It not only enables you to hear your mother tongue, but will play back what you say to the other person in their language too.

Note Assist

Never mess your notes again.

Note Assist will summarise notes written in the Samsung Notes app for you.

Transcript Assist

With Transcript Assist, you can record speech and create a transcription of what was said.
