SAN DIEGO — Juan Soto started the party in his return to Petco Park, and then Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton followed his lead in the same inning.
Soto and Judge crushed back-to-back home runs and one single later, Stanton clobbered a two-run shot as the Yankees went bombs away on Yu Darvish for a five-run third inning on Friday night.
The trio combined for 1,249 feet of home runs in a matter of minutes, marking the second time all three have homered in the same game.
They all came off Darvish, who had entered the game with a 25-inning scoreless streak.
Soto, in his first game here since the Padres traded him to the Yankees in December, struck out in his first at-bat after hearing more boos than cheers.
But he delivered on his flair for the dramatic in his second at-bat, ripping a 423-foot shot that right fielder Fernando Tatis Jr. hardly moved for.
Two pitches later, Juge made it back-to-back, drilling a 409-foot home run for the third straight game and his 16th of the season to continue his torrid month of May.
Then, after Alex Verdugo sliced a single off the left-field wall, Stanton visited the second deck of the Western Metal Supply Co. building in left field.
His 417-foot shot made it a 6-0 Yankees lead.
