The excitement of the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 is in full swing, with Bollywood stars enthusiastically participating. Despite their busy schedules, celebrities like Janhvi Kapoor, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Shraddha Kapoor took the time to visit the polling booths and cast their votes. However, there were a few notable absences among our Bollywood stars. Katrina Kaif, who boasts a massive fan following in India, couldn’t be seen at the polling booth. Born in Hong Kong, she holds British citizenship, which is why she couldn’t participate in the Lok Sabha elections. Similarly, Alia Bhatt, the renowned actress and wife of Ranbir Kapoor, also couldn’t exercise her voting rights. Alia, too, is not an Indian citizen but holds British citizenship. Interestingly, she was born in Birmingham, England, the same city where her mother, Soni Razdan, was born. Another celebrity who couldn’t go to vote is Jacqueline Fernandez. The former Miss Universe of Sri Lanka was born in Manama, Bahrain. With her father hailing from Sri Lanka and her mother from Malaysia, Jacqueline pursued her studies in Australia.
