Vidya Balan is enjoying the outpouring love she has been getting for her recently released new Bollywood movie Do Aur Do Pyaar. Vidya never disappoints with her performances and Do Aur Do Pyaar is just another testament to that fact. And now, Vidya is stepping into one of the characters that she played about 17 years ago. It is Bhool Bhulaiyaa‘s Manjulika. Vidya actually played Avni who was possessed by the spirit of Manjulika in the first part. She recently joined the third film in the franchise, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 starring Kartik Aaryan.

Vidya Balan talks about returning to the franchise with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3; reveals if she was doubtful
Like every fan of the film series, even Vidya Balan is super excited about the horror comedy movie. She says that it is the one film that scared her in the most exciting way. Vidya says that the first movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa gave a lot to her. That’s why she had thoughts about returning to the franchise which put her on the map. Vidya admits to having doubts about starring in a film franchise. She tells Mid-Day, “The worry that the sequel won’t match up to the original always plays on an actor’s mind. But I have grown up.”
Vidya assures that Kartik Aaryan starrer movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, is a completely different film. She reveals she always wanted to work with Anees Bazmee. Vidya says she loved the script and gushes about enjoying the process of filming a movie series which she was a part of.

Vidya Balan reveals how she is preparing for her role of Manjulika in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
While talking to the entertainment news portal, Vidya was also asked about her preparation for playing Manjulika onscreen again. The actress shares that as an actor she always sits with the director to understand her character and his vision better. That’s how she has been fitting into the character. However, this time with Manjulika, she is not trying to recreate what she did before. It is going to be a different Manjulika this time. Her approach towards the character has changed, she says before signing off.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is slated for a Diwali release. The film also stars Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri.
