MOTOROLA has unveiled a new Android smartphone which boasts a mega-battery and sparkly seven AI features within its 2024 lineup.
One of the AI features creates a unique wallpaper that matches the phone screen with its surroundings in a matter of seconds.
The Edge 50 Pro has a 4500mah battery which trumps the Apple’s iPhone 15.
There is also 10mah power sharing – a nifty trick that allows users to share their charge with friends and family.
While the handset also enjoys up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage, it comes with several big camera upgrades.
Adaptive stabilisation has been introduced for video – a feature currently available in iPhones that lets users capture action shots that aren’t shaky.
AI has been used to predict the movement in the filmed scenario and apply the right stabilisation accordingly.
A new 64mp telephoto lens plants super zoom abilities into their palms, where AI is used to upscale and boost picture quality.
Low light and night photography is also passed through AI so folks get the clearest images in post-production.

It’s used to boost image quality, making high-action videos smoother, as well as improving low-light and night photography.
Moto AI also lets users generate unique wallpapers for their devices that can match their surroundings, and even their outfits.
Simply snap a picture of any fabric, pattern or scenery and let generative AI use that as inspiration for a selection of wallpapers.
As shown in the video above, not each wallpaper the AI generates is a winner.
But some of them turn out really pretty.
The devices – because they are part of the Android family – benefit from the Google network.
Google Photos, for example, is Motorola’s native gallery application for photos and videos.
This means users will soon be able to access even more enhanced AI editing tools, including: Magic Editor, Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur.
