Best place to store onions
You should store onions in a cool, dark, and dry place, because moisture and light lead to mould and sprouting.
So store onions, whether it’s red, yellow, white shallots, or even those cute little pearl onions, in a dry, well-ventilated, basket or bin on their own.
Can you store onions in the fridge?
You can store onions in the fridge, but you’re going to reduce the life span of that onion.

The content creator recommends using a glass container because plastic will absorb the odor.
To decrease oxidation, moisture absorption, and stinkiness, stick with the glass container.
Can you store onions in the freezer?
You can also store onions in the freezer for several months. It’s okay, but only if you’re going to be cooking onions, and you’re not using them as toppings or condiments, because texture is important.
